I am currently working as a Research Manager at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Tokyo. I am concurrently holding a visiting faculty position at Waseda University, Tokyo. Prior to joining Waseda university, I was a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo from April 2013 to March 2023. I have been serving as a Rapporteur of ITU-T Study Group 13 at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Geneva, Switzerland since 2014. I have authored/co-authored more than 150 papers published in peer reviewed journals, magazines, and conferences. I have filed 12 patents and edited 14 ITU-T Recommendations. My publications, patents and edited ITU-T Recommendation lists are available in Publication page.

The above list shows my work experience after obtaining the PhD degree. After obtaining the B.E. degree in 1995, I had worked for five years in Nepal. I worked as a temporary lecturer to teach undergraduate engineering students at Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus and then worked as a computer engineer at government service. I also worked as a part-time lecturer at Nepal Engineering College.
